Before You Publish the AI Draft
AI tools can write a homepage section in seconds, and some of what they write isn't true. This short exercise uses a fictional bike repair shop. Check each sentence against the owner's facts, pick a headline, and leave with a section the facts can carry, plus the questions still open for the owner. It takes about three minutes, and a blank version at the end works for your own draft.
Step 1 of 3 · Check each sentence
Does the record support it?
Below is a homepage section for a small bike repair shop, written the way AI site builders often draft one. It's a constructed practice draft, not output from a named AI system. Before it goes live, compare each sentence with the owner's facts. Choose Supported, Not supported (the facts say otherwise, or the claim needs proof that isn't there), or Ask the owner (the facts are silent).
0 of 6 sentences checked.
Step 2 of 3 · Choose a headline
Which headline would you publish?
Pick one to see how it holds up against the owner's facts. Only a headline the facts support goes into the section in step 3.
Step 3 of 3 · Leave with a better draft
A section the facts can carry
Built only from sentences you marked Supported that the facts also support, plus your headline if the facts support it. Edit it freely. Edited text is yours: this page doesn't check it, store it or send it anywhere.
You've edited this text. Your edits haven't been checked against the owner's facts. Changing a choice above won't overwrite them; Rebuild will, after you confirm.
Questions for the owner
- Mark sentences in step 1 to see what still needs an answer.
Left out, and why
- Nothing yet.
Your turn
Check your own draft
A blank version of the same check. Add a claim from your own draft, where the proof lives, and its status. Nothing you type leaves this page.
About this example. Fictional shop, facts and draft. The draft is a constructed practice draft written in the style of an AI site builder, not output from a particular AI system. The page runs fixed rules in your browser: no AI runs here, and nothing you type is stored or sent. It is not legal or advertising-compliance advice. Built by Dorian Hartwood with AI assistance.
